hey guys welcome back to the channel today I'm going to be reviewing the best piano apps for beginners now I'm not too musical but I've wanted to learn the piano for a while now because it just looks like a fun instrument to play so I downloaded a bunch of different piano apps for Android and iPhone in order to find the best ones for beginners I then used each one to find out what was good about it and what could be improved anyway so I started learning the basics and at first first it was a bit hard but I was getting better over time I was playing really slowly at the beginning just learning the keys and where to place my fingers but once I got the hang of that which took me about a week or so everything else got a lot easier and funner soon after that I learned the music sheet then I learned how to play some of my favorite songs which I just loved that being said how do you know what is best for new users it's really up to you at the end of the day but I'll tell you what I know to help you make a good decision so this is a review of three subscription services that helped me learn to play the piano in a fun and useful way I'll tell you about simply piano sco and playground sessions I'll explain how to use them how much they cost and who might like them that way by the end of this review you'll have a good idea if any of these Services might be good for you now I have a play my first song with both hands something I never thought I was able to do considering how bad I've played the piano before also this piano app for Android and iPhone has a bright and fun interface that looks like it was made for kids although as a downside simply piano doesn't have a desktop or browser version but it does work with any regular acoustic piano by using the microphone on your device to hear your playing okay so the app offers lessons in piano guitar and singing with a focus on learning acoustic plus it has a unique feature called music sense that listens to your singing or playing and gives you feedback right away in order to help you get better but this system for recognizing notes isn't perfect and it might work differently on different devices now if you're just looking to get some quick practice in you can use the onscreen keyboard but for the best results you should connect an electronic keyboard using Bluetooth USB or a midi cable okay so in order to get started with simply piano you can either create an account on their website or download the app and sign in there and what's really cool is that the sign up process is quick and easy after you take a detailed quiz that asks you about your musical goals level of skill favorite type of music and whether you learn best through audio video or both and based on your answers simply piano gives you an idea of how long it'll take you to improve your piano skills now simply piano offers a limited free version that includes one course in piano Basics but in order to access other features you'll need example you can practice with one hand or both you can also easily change the speed with the metronome and if the real-time feedback doesn't work for you you can just turn it off finally I think scoo is a good way for beginners to learn useful piano skills so if you're a good piano player scoo might not be as complete or detailed for you but I believe even Advanced players will find it enjoyable the apps I tested now you can move forward in a clear straightforward way but there are more ways to change things like the backing track coun in finger numbers and note names that you don't see or even get to on other apps there's also a YouTube channel and a forum where members can talk to each other and ask teachers for help if they really need it so to sum it up playground sessions is an easy to ous app that gives beginners a good way to learn by providing interesting content thorough feedback and motivating rewards so if you don't mind using an acoustic piano or don't like game based learning playground sessions is a great option for keeping up with your learning because it has fun content and features that encourage you to continue improving your piano skills anyway so that'll be
